How It Works

Group immersion trips in the UK

We organise five-day Mandarin immersion camps for small groups of adult learners at scenic locations in the UK. Each group consists of a mixture of adult Chinese learners, professional tutors & native Mandarin speakers.

Total immersion experience

Each retreat includes a range of cultural and social activities, including calligraphy, mahjong and dumpling making. We conduct these activities in Mandarin, giving you the complete immersion experience.

All levels welcome

Our organisers & professional Chinese tutors are experienced at supporting learners of all levels through the immersive experience, whether beginner, intermediate or advanced.

Accommodation, food & transport

All meals are provided and special dietary requirements will be catered for. We have exclusive access to a hostel building with kitchen and dining facilities. Retreaters are allocated a shared bedroom with other learners of the same gender. We can provide pickup from within 30 miles of Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, York, Bristol and Hull.

Extra goodies

All retreaters who attend an event will be offered five free online Chinese classes with our partner organisation, LTL Mandarin. You will also receive two months free use of vocabulary learning website Hack Chinese.
